Davina’s Ark Fundraiser ‘Feast Night Friday’

Al FornoOn Friday 21st March members of the local community, including some of Newry’s leading business owners attended the event ‘Feast Night Friday’ organised by Davina’s Ark, a new charitable organisation which aims to tackle addiction in our community by providing a non-residential aftercare service for individuals and families affected by addiction.

A relaxing evening full of laughs was enjoyed by all which involved pop quizzes, spot prizes, and a top class 5 course taster menu hosted by Newry’s newest establishment al forno Mediterranean Restaurant on Francis Street.

Sr. Kathleen O’Connor who has been working with addiction for many years shared anecdotes relating to her own personal experiences and we also heard from a recovering alcoholic who spoke about his journey to recovery.

We would also like to extend a special thanks to the management and staff of Al Forno Restaurant for the excellent meal and service.
